A walk-off single from Jeff Helps brought home the winning run for the Quebec (3-2) in an 8-7 victory over the Rockland in 12 innings at Le Stade Municipal on Saturday.

Helps led the Quebec 's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the twelfth inning.

Josue Peley had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and twelfth innings.

The Rockland (2-4) had no answer for Guillaume Duguay, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Duguay held the Rockland hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Chad Jones recorded his first win of the year for the Quebec . He allowed three runs over one inning. Jones struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Adrian Martin (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Quebec answered the Rockland 's top inning with four runs of their own in the twelfth. The Quebec scored on an RBI double by Peley, a two-run double by Normand Gosselin, and an RBI single by Helps.
