An awesome effort by Devin Goodwin led the Kansas City T-Bones (51-48) to a 9-3 win over the Sioux City Explorers (44-55) on Sunday at Lewis _ Clark Park.
Goodwin blasted two home runs for the Kansas City T-Bones. Goodwin went 2-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Goodwin homered in the third and seventh innings.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Kansas City T-Bones in the third. The Kansas City T-Bones' bats caught fire leading to five runs.
Brian Grening got the win for the Kansas City T-Bones thanks to 13 strikeouts. Grening allowed two earned runs on eight hits and no walks over nine innings.
Aaron Correa (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out five.
