After six lead changes in Friday's game at Gary, Ind. (U.S. Steel Yard), the Gary SouthShore RailCats (49-48) finally pulled out a 7-4 win over the St Paul Saints (51-46).
Craig Maddox racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Jon Gulbransen baffled the St Paul Saints, striking out three batters. Gulbransen allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk over five innings.
The St Paul Saints were led by Jim Rapoport's hitting. Rapoport went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
