The Wichita Wingnuts finally managed to grab the lead after a strong ninth inning. A sacrifice fly by Jake Kahaulelio scored Jared McDonald and gave the Wichita Wingnuts the lead for good.
The Wichita Wingnuts came out swinging, scoring three runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the El Paso Diablos early. A three-run home run by CJ Ziegler delivered the runs in the first. The Wichita Wingnuts had two hits in the inning.
Kahaulelio had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and eighth innings.
