A loss looked likely for the Amarillo Sox (44-49) when they trailed by three runs in the eighth inning, but the Amarillo Sox were able to capture the lead back with a a groundout by Danny Gallinot in the eighth inning, spurring the Amarillo Sox to a 5-4 win over the Grand Prairie AirHogs (48-46) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad on Sunday.

Arlis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Amarillo Sox. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Justin Garcia baffled the Grand Prairie AirHogs, striking out 11 batters. Garcia allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks over seven innings.
Nick DeBarr was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Amarillo Sox batters and allowing one run.
Chase Johnson got the win, running his season record to 5-4. He allowed one run over two-thirds of an inning. Johnson struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.
Ronnie Morales was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
