The Sioux Falls Pheasants survive the Lincoln Saltdogs 8-4 thanks to Anthonsen's late-game heroics

Joe Anthonsen drove in the go-ahead run to give the Sioux Falls Pheasants (38-49) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Sioux Falls Pheasants hung on to beat the Lincoln Saltdogs (36-51) 8-4 on Monday.

Trevor Lawhorn to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on an RBI single by Al Quintana. Finally, Anthonsen came to the plate with the score tied at two in the seventh inning, and singled, bringing home Lawhorn.

Anthonsen reached base four times in the game for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants relied on Mitchell Clegg to eat up innings en route to the win. Clegg allowed two earned runs, six hits and four walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Chris McMurray racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Yohan Gonzalez couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lincoln Saltdogs, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
