The Amarillo Sox outlast the Lincoln Saltdogs in extras, 8-7

The Amarillo Sox (41-44) took home a marathon 8-7 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs (34-50) on Friday at Haymarket Park.

With the score tied at seven, Harrison Kain came to the plate and singled, plating Van Pope.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with nine lead changes.

The Amarillo Sox came out swinging, scoring three runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Lincoln Saltdogs early. A three-run home run by Jonathan Cisneros delivered the runs in the first. The Amarillo Sox had two hits in the inning.

Wes Littleton recorded his third win of the year for the Amarillo Sox. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Pete Parise (6-6) took the loss for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
