The Laredo Lemurs (40-43) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Sioux Falls Pheasants (37-46) on Thursday, as the Laredo Lemurs fell 2-1 at Sioux Falls Stadium after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.
The Laredo Lemurs scored one run in the ninth on an RBI single by Palmer Karr Jr.. Still, the Laredo Lemurs couldn't catch the Sioux Falls Pheasants.
Rod Scurry picked up the win for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Scurry pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out five.
Ryan Sasaki couldn't get it done on the bump for the Laredo Lemurs, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
