Stephen Hiscock pitched nine innings to lift the Gary SouthShore RailCats (37-41) to a 12-2 win over the Amarillo Sox (36-42) at Gary, Ind. (U.S. Steel Yard).

Chris Carrara delivered a big hit off the bench in the one.. His pinch-hit single was the key moment in the Gary SouthShore RailCats' 10-run win.

With the game scoreless in the first inning Carrara came to the plate and singled.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats stamped out any hope for the Amarillo Sox with six runs in the eighth.

Ryan Babineau racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Chuck Lofgren (4-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked four and struck out seven.
