The Sioux City Explorers (35-43) pounded the Grand Prairie AirHogs (44-34) on Thursday 10-4 at QuikTrip Park.
A two-run home run by Brian Bistagne and a two-run home run by Yusuke Inoguchi helped the Sioux City Explorers score four runs in the fifth. The Sioux City Explorers had five hits in the inning.
Inoguchi racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Sioux City Explorers.
Chris McMurray had a hot bat for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. McMurray went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second, seventh, and eighth innings.
Jason Jarvis improved to 5-8 on the year by picking up the win for the Sioux City Explorers. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Jarvis struck out four, walked none and gave up nine hits.
Alain Quijano (0-1) took the loss for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.
