Nick Schumacher did his part on the rubber, but it wasn't enough to carry the Sioux City Explorers (34-42) to a win on Tuesday, as the Sioux City Explorers fell to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (43-33) 4-3 at QuikTrip Park.

Schumacher baffled the Grand Prairie AirHogs, striking out seven batters. Schumacher allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over eight innings.

A walk-off single by Chris McMurray gave the Grand Prairie AirHogs the win.

McMurray reached base two times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the ninth inning.

Trent Lockwood got on base two times in the game for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Derrick Miramontes got the win, running his season record to 5-1. Miramontes struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

Chris Bodishbaugh was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
