The St Paul Saints get on top of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks early but can't hang on in 4-1 loss

The St Paul Saints (38-32) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-1 ballgame against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (46-25) on Thursday at Midway Stadium.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks took the lead in the fourth inning on a two-run double by Carlo Cota.

It was a good day at the plate for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks' Ryan Delgado. Delgado went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

Aaron Shafer's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks past the St Paul Saints. Shafer allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.

Luke Anderson couldn't get it done on the bump for the St Paul Saints, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
