A walk-off single from Stephen Pearson brought home the winning run for the Laredo Lemurs (30-33) in a 5-4 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs (24-40) in 10 innings at Uni-Trade Stadium on Wednesday.
Pearson was hot from the plate for the Laredo Lemurs. Pearson went 1-5 and drove in one. He singled in the tenth inning.
Javier Brito paced the Laredo Lemurs at the plate. Brito went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Mike Benacka recorded his first win of the year for the Laredo Lemurs. He allowed two runs over two innings. Benacka struck out five, walked none and gave up two hits.
Pete Parise ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
