Early lead not enough for the Wichita Wingnuts, drop 4-3 decision to the Amarillo Sox

The Wichita Wingnuts (32-17) built an early edge on Monday, but the Amarillo Sox (27-23) roared back to steal a 4-3 victory at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad.

While the Wichita Wingnuts led until the seventh inning, the Amarillo Sox worked their way back and took the lead on a groundout by Matthew Tucker.

Adam Buschini racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Amarillo Sox. He homered in the fourth inning.

Chad Povich got the win, running his season record to 3-0. Povich struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jared Simon couldn't get it done on the hill for the Wichita Wingnuts, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
