Four first-inning runs helped the Worcester Tornadoes to an 8-5 win over the El Paso Diablos (16-31) at Cohen Stadium on Sunday.

Alex Trezza got on base three times in the game for the Worcester Tornadoes. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

The Worcester Tornadoes relied on Michael Gedman to eat up innings en route to the win. Gedman pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and two walks while striking out four.

The El Paso Diablos were led by Maikol Gonzalez's hitting. Gonzalez went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Edgar Garcia (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out five.
