Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Gary SouthShore RailCats (17-28) outscored the Sioux City Explorers (20-26) 14-9.

The teams totaled 29 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with eight lead changes.

Michael Coles racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.

David Quinowski pitched lights out for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. The Sioux City Explorers managed just one hit off of Quinowski, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 1 1/3 innings of work.

Tyler Deetjen recorded his first win of the year for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He allowed one run over three innings. Deetjen struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Nick Schumacher couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sioux City Explorers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
