The Lincoln Saltdogs (17-25) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Kansas City T-Bones (24-20) on Monday.
While the Lincoln Saltdogs led until the tenth inning, the Kansas City T-Bones worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Trevor Coleman.
Coleman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Kansas City T-Bones. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings and doubled in the tenth innings.
Brian Grening baffled the Lincoln Saltdogs, striking out seven batters. Grening allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks over seven innings.
Steve Kent improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Kansas City T-Bones. Kent struck out four, walked none and gave up no hits.
Pete Parise was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
