Trent Lockwood drove in the winning run to give the Grand Prairie AirHogs (26-13) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs hung on to beat the Worcester Tornadoes 4-3 on Wednesday.
After Greg Porter doubled, Lockwood came to the plate with the Grand Prairie AirHogs trailing by one, and doubled, bringing home Porter.Lance Day baffled the Worcester Tornadoes, striking out five batters. Day allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over six innings.
Ronnie Morales recorded his second win of the year for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. Morales struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Ryan Bicondoa couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Worcester Tornadoes, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
