The Sioux Falls Pheasants (19-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 11-7 to the El Paso Diablos (10-27) on Wednesday.
The El Paso Diablos took the lead in the eighth inning on an RBI double by Reid Fronk.
Brian Joynt got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the second and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.
It was a good day at the plate for the Sioux Falls Pheasants' Jared Bolden. Bolden went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, sixth, and eighth innings.
Drew A. Graham improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the El Paso Diablos. A. Graham struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.
