The Grand Prairie AirHogs (24-12) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the New Jersey Jackals, recording a 14-4 victory on Sunday at Yogi Berra Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the Grand Prairie AirHogs exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Bryan Frichter in the first inning and an RBI single by Keanon Simon and a fielder's choice during the second inning fueled the Grand Prairie AirHogs' offense early.

Simon racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

John Brownell picked up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. Brownell pitched nine innings and allowed four earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out six.

Nick Giarraputo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Jon Kibler was charged with the loss. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out four.
