Jason Jarvis kept the Wichita Wingnuts (27-9) off the board during his nine innings of work and the Sioux City Explorers (18-20) beat the Wichita Wingnuts, 5-0.

Jarvis allowed seven hits, three walks and struck out one.

The Sioux City Explorers' Yusuke Inoguchi was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings.

Nick Schreiber (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
