The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (17-19) jumped out to an early lead on the Winnipeg Goldeyes (21-15) and captured a 16-7 victory on Sunday at Shaw Park.
The game was decided quickly as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks exerted their will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.
A groundout by Ryan Delgado during the first inning and an error and a two-run single by Aharon Eggleston in the second inning fueled the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks' offense early.Nic Jackson racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Price Kendall racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He singled in the first and fourth innings.
Even though Aaron Shafer allowed six runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered seven hits.
Chris Zbin was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
