The Gary SouthShore RailCats (15-18) built an early lead against the Lincoln Saltdogs (13-20), scoring nine runs in the first inning, en route to a 10-7 win on Friday at Gary, Ind. (U.S. Steel Yard).

Mike Massaro racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

David Quinowski got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Quinowski struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Justin R. Edwards ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked two and struck out six.
