The Sioux Falls fend off the Sioux City's late push, hold on 6-4

The Sioux City (12-14) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Sioux Falls (12-13) on Tuesday, as the Sioux City fell 6-4 at Lewis _ Clark Park after falling behind by six runs in the third inning.

The Sioux City scored on a sacrifice fly by Ray Serrano in the fourth inning, an RBI single by Kris Sanchez in the sixth inning, and a two-run home run by Michael Lang in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Sioux City couldn't finish the comeback.

Jared Bolden racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Sioux Falls. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Lang had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Mark Michael improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Sioux Falls. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Nick Schumacher (4-1) took the loss for the Sioux City. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out four.
