Bryan Frichter drove in three runs, helping the El Paso (4-16) to a 9-4 victory over the Grand Prairie (10-9) on Thursday at Cohen Stadium.
He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.Scott Hodsdon's seven strikeouts were enough to push the El Paso past the Grand Prairie. Hodsdon allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.
Andres Rodriguez was hot from the plate for the Grand Prairie. Rodriguez went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Lance Janke (0-3) took the loss for the Grand Prairie. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
