Winnipeg Goldeyes vs Lincoln Saltdogs: 1-3

Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Lincoln make the most of 7 hits in 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg

Story by Narrative Science.

The Lincoln (10-10) and the Winnipeg (12-6) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Lincoln that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-1 win at Haymarket Park.

The fact that the Lincoln grouped all of their runs into the fifth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The Lincoln staved off the Winnipeg as the Winnipeg were unable to match the Lincoln down the stretch.

The Winnipeg scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Jon Weber. Unfortunately, the Winnipeg weren't able to take the lead back.

Stephen Holdren racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lincoln. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Justin R. Edwards' seven strikeouts were enough to push the Lincoln past the Winnipeg. R. Edwards allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks over seven innings.

Fabian Williamson (1-3) took the loss for the Winnipeg. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
