The Sioux City (7-11) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the Wichita (14-4) captured a blowout 8-2 win at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.

The Wichita scored three runs in the fifth on a wild pitch, a two-run double by John Rodriguez, and an RBI single by CJ Ziegler.

Rodriguez racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Wichita.

Josh Lowey picked up the win for the Wichita. Lowey allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Alain Quijano (0-2) took the loss for the Sioux City. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
