The Winnipeg (17-6) beat the Laredo (10-14) 11-3 on Wednesday thanks to a seven-run ninth inning.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with five lead changes.
The Winnipeg took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory. A sacrifice fly by Yurendell de Caster scored Price Kendall and gave the Winnipeg the lead for good.
Matt Cusick racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Winnipeg. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth innings.
Kaohi Downing recorded his third win of the year for the Winnipeg. He allowed one run over two innings. Downing struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.
Leonard Giammanco (0-3) took the loss for the Laredo. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
