An ace performance by Alain Quijano spurred the Sioux City (12-13) to a 15-0 win over the Sioux Falls (11-13) on Saturday at Lewis _ Clark Park.
The Sioux City's Quijano kept the Sioux Falls off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on seven hits while ringing up seven.
The Sioux City continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Sioux City scored seven runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Sioux City scored five runs in the eighth on a solo home run by Yusuke Inoguchi, a groundout by Kris Sanchez, an RBI single by Ryan Priddy, and a sacrifice fly by Brian Bistagne.
Inoguchi racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Sioux City.
Mitchell Clegg (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked three and struck out one.
