The Salinas Tomahawks (3-33) took down the Nevada Big Horns (4-23) 12-2 on Saturday at Western Nevada College after slamming the Nevada Big Horns with seven runs in the third inning.

Tyler Provost went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Salinas Tomahawks. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Oscar Carlstedt recorded his second win of the year for the Salinas Tomahawks. He allowed two runs over five innings. Carlstedt struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.

Derrick Winter (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out two.
