The Sanford River Rats (15-18) took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the DeLand Suns (19-12), securing a 5-4 victory on Sunday at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadi.

Brett Allen recorded his fourth win of the year for the Sanford River Rats. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. Allen struck out one, walked three and gave up two hits.

Jake Meiers (3-1) took the loss for the DeLand Suns. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
