The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs make the most of 8 hits in 11-6 victory over the Sanford River Rats

The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (22-15) and the Sanford River Rats (17-21) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 11-6 win at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadi.

The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs were led by a flawless day at the dish by Daniel Sweet, who went 2-2 against the Sanford River Rats' pitching. He singled in the sixth and ninth innings.

The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs got the win thanks in large part to Cary Baxter's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Baxter allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks over six innings.

Daniel Seeba racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Sanford River Rats. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

John Sever couldn't get it done on the bump for the Sanford River Rats, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked six, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
