The Orlando Monarchs (19-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-3 to the Orlando Freedom (9-28) on Saturday.

An RBI single by Hunter Bruehl gave the Orlando Freedom the lead in the seventh inning.

Mark Nelson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Orlando Freedom. He homered in the first inning.

Nick Neitzel pitched lights out for the Orlando Freedom. Neitzel gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Josh Larson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Vince Kossak (2-3) took the loss for the Orlando Monarchs. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
