The Orlando Freedom need extra frames to finish the Leesburg Lightning, win 5-4

It took 11 innings, but the Orlando Freedom (7-25) managed to put away the Leesburg Lightning (22-13) 5-4 on Thursday at Orel Hershiser Field.

With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning, Patrick Grady came to the plate and homered.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eleventh, with five lead changes.

Grady did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Orlando Freedom, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eleventh inning.

Josh Strong handled the Leesburg Lightning's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Strong allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over six innings.

Chris Walkerow recorded his second win of the year for the Orlando Freedom. Walkerow struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Trey Norris (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
