The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (20-14) beat the Orlando Monarchs (15-17) 4-2 but needed 10 innings to do so on Thursday at Tinker Field.

With the score tied at two, Tyler Rocklein came to the plate and singled, scoring Ted Blackman and Sean Trent.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with four lead changes.

Zach Persky reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Aaron Adams handled the Orlando Monarchs' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Adams allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks over six innings.

Reed Reznicek improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. Reznicek struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.

Vince Kossak couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Orlando Monarchs, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
