Three first-inning runs helped the Atwater Aviators (30-17) to a 7-6 win over the Fresno Cardinals (23-17) at John Euless Ballpark on Thursday.

Garrett Boothe helped the Atwater Aviators take the lead for good in the eighth inning. Beau Bozett singled to start the eighth. He then went from first to second. Finally, Boothe came to the plate with the score tied at six in the eighth inning, and reached on an error, bringing home Bozett.

Boothe racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Atwater Aviators. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Bozett paced the Atwater Aviators at the plate. Bozett went 3-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the first, fourth, and eighth innings.

Matt Burrows recorded his fourth win of the year for the Atwater Aviators. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered three hits.

David Snapp couldn't get it done on the bump for the Fresno Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
