A walk-off single from Eric Bauer brought home the winning run for the Sanford River Rats (16-18) in a 2-1 victory over the DeLand Suns (20-13) in 10 innings at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadi on Friday.

Kevin Wortman did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Sanford River Rats, reaching base four times. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the third inning.

Harrison Hukari allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Bauer recorded his first win of the year for the Sanford River Rats. Bauer struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Austin Jackson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
