The Orlando Freedom (5-22) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the DeLand Suns (18-10) on Thursday.

While the Orlando Freedom led until the eighth inning, the DeLand Suns worked their way back and took the lead.

Thomas Kelly reached base three times. He singled in the fifth inning.

Reily Monkman put together a nice outing. The Orlando Freedom managed just one hit off of the the DeLand Suns' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Jeffrey Campbell racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Orlando Freedom. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Nick Neitzel (0-2) took the loss for the Orlando Freedom. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run.
