Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Fresno Cardinals (10-1) and the Sacramento Scorch (4-8), as the two teams put up 19 runs combined in a 11-8 the Fresno Cardinals win.

The teams totaled 21 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with six lead changes.

The Fresno Cardinals took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. A hit by pitch scored Christian Parra and Blake Proctor and gave the Fresno Cardinals the lead for good.

Brett Jones did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Fresno Cardinals, reaching base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh innings.

The Sacramento Scorch's lineup had no answer for Tanner Irwin. Irwin held the Sacramento Scorch hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Josh Hall ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked five and struck out five.
