Bryan Adametz drove in the winning run to give the DeLand Suns (13-9) the lead in the ninth inning, as the DeLand Suns hung on to beat the Leesburg Lightning (16-9) 7-6 on Wednesday.

The DeLand Suns were led by Adametz's hitting. Adametz went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the seventh innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Thomas Kelly had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Austin Jackson recorded his second win of the year for the DeLand Suns. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Carlton Patton was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.

The DeLand Suns' Kevin Lindheim, Blake Sydeski, Adametz and Kelly combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
