The San Francisco Seagulls (19-16) and the Nevada Big Horns (4-21) both threatened with rallies, but it was the San Francisco Seagulls that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-6 win at Fairmont Field.

The San Francisco Seagulls staved off the Nevada Big Horns as the Nevada Big Horns were unable to match the San Francisco Seagulls down the stretch.

The Nevada Big Horns scored three runs in the ninth on a three-run home run by Tommy Lyons. Still, the Nevada Big Horns couldn't draw even.

It was a good day at the plate for the San Francisco Seagulls' Roger Fonseca. Fonseca went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

Robert Silky got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Derrick Winter (1-3) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked seven, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
