Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the DeLand Suns (12-7) outscored the Leesburg Lightning (14-7) 16-13.

Bryan Adametz racked up two RBIs on four hits for the DeLand Suns. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.
Reily Monkman pitched lights out for the DeLand Suns. The Leesburg Lightning managed just one hit off of the the DeLand Suns' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 1 2/3 innings of work.
Brett Jones racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Leesburg Lightning. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Tim Stoops got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.
Michael Clutterbuck ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.
The DeLand Suns pounded the Leesburg Lightning pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
