The DeLand Suns (11-7) rolled over the Orlando Freedom (4-14) 7-1 on Thursday at Orel Hershiser Field after a five-run rally in the first inning.

Kevin Lindheim racked up two RBIs on three hits for the DeLand Suns. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Mike Compton's seven strikeouts were enough to push the DeLand Suns past the Orlando Freedom. The DeLand Suns' pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

Shane Hill (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out five.
