The Orlando Monarchs come from behind to beat the DeLand Suns, 11-7

The Orlando Monarchs (8-6) trailed by seven in the third, but the Orlando Monarchs recovered thanks to a key single in the fifth inning from Deandre Lankford to pull out an 11-7 win over the DeLand Suns (9-6) at Tinker Field on Saturday.

With the Orlando Monarchs trailing by one in the fifth inning, Lankford came to the plate and singled, bringing home Jose Cruz.

Lankford led the Orlando Monarchs' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth innings.

Cruz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Orlando Monarchs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Cedric Walker pitched lights out for the Orlando Monarchs. The DeLand Suns managed just two hits off of Walker, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his four innings of work.

Tim Stoops (0-2) took the loss for the DeLand Suns. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
