The Orlando Freedom get on top of the Leesburg Lightning early but can't hang on in 3-2 loss

The Orlando Freedom (3-9) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Leesburg Lightning (10-3) on Wednesday.

Gave the Leesburg Lightning the lead in the eighth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Leesburg Lightning's Jake Hanson. Hanson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

Nic Kovacs pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Brian Johnson was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Leesburg Lightning batters and allowing one run.

Jonah Davis got the win, running his season record to 3-0. Davis struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Charles Terry was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
