Ted Blackman went 2-2 and hit a home run as the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (22-15) took home an 8-3 victory over the Sanford River Rats (17-21) at Alfond Stadium on Wednesday.

The Sanford River Rats' lineup had no answer for Reed Reznicek. Reznicek held the Sanford River Rats hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Drew Weeks was hot from the plate for the Sanford River Rats. Weeks went 2-4 and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Michael Sylvestri improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Corey Tufts couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sanford River Rats, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
