The San Francisco Seagulls (16-11) and the California Glory (17-10) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the San Francisco Seagulls capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-2 win at Fairmont Field.

Blaine Carlile was solid at the plate for the San Francisco Seagulls. Carlile went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

The San Francisco Seagulls relied on Zach Bell to eat up innings en route to the win. Bell pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and four walks while striking out two.

Tyler Stieb reached base three times. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Robert Covarrubias ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
