The Sanford River Rats scored on a wild pitch in the seventh inning and , a two-run single by Spencer Hermann, a triple by Sam Halpern, , a sacrifice fly by Drew Weeks, and an RBI single by Kevin Wortman in the eighth inning. Still, the Sanford River Rats couldn't draw even.

Ted Blackman had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Michael Sylvestri racked up eight strikeouts in the the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs win. The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs' pitcher gave up just two hits over five shutout innings.

TJ Sullivan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
