The Orlando Freedom (9-28) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (22-15) on Tuesday, as the Orlando Freedom fell 6-5 at Alfond Stadium after falling behind by five runs in the sixth inning.
The Orlando Freedom scored on a hit by pitch and in the seventh inning and and an RBI double by Lee Dunnam in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Orlando Freedom couldn't get over the hump.
Daniel Sweet racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
The Orlando Freedom couldn't get anything going so long as Drew Packard was on the hill. Packard held the Orlando Freedom hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Dunnam racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Orlando Freedom.
Reed Reznicek recorded his second win of the year for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. He allowed one run over two innings. Reznicek struck out none, walked three and gave up no hits.
Ryan Otero was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
