Both the Top Speed Baseball (32-21) and the California Glory (23-14) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Top Speed Baseball that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 4-1 win at Cardinal Newman High School.
Randall Packard went a perfect 1-1 at the plate for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the third inning.
Corey Lathram had an impressive outing against the California Glory's lineup. The California Glory managed just three hits off of Lathram, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Josh Schuller (1-3) took the loss for the California Glory. He lasted just five innings, walked six, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
